weather radar is an instrument that sends pulces of electromagnetic energy into the atmosphere to find preciption, deterimne its motion and intensity and identfy the preciptipon type such as rain snow or hail
losbar line on a map connectig points having the same barometric reading at a given time
isotherm a line on a map a weather map that joins places that have the same temputure
cumulonimbus are tunder clouds high winds can flaten the top of the cloud into an anvil like shape. cumulonimbus clouds are associated with heavy rain, snow, hail, lightning and evan tornados the anvil usally points in the direction the storm is moving
relative humidty the amout of water vapor in the air at any given time is usally less then that requierd to saturate the air. expressed as a precentge
