TermDefinition
Voice The distinctive use of language that conveys the author's or narrator's personality to the reader. Is determined by elements of style such as word choice and tone.
Simile A figure of speech using a word or phrase such as "like" or "as" to make a comparison of seemingly unlike things.
Plot The sequence of events in a drama or a narrative work of fiction. There are 5 stages of development
Moral A practical lesson about right and wrong.
Sonnet A lyric poem of fourteen lines, typically written in iambic pentameter and usually following strict patterns of stanza divisions and rhymes.
