What was in the second section of the Declaration of Independence? The rights of every citizen for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
What was in the third section of the Declaration of Independence? All of the complaints the colonies had about the King and his rules.
What was in the fourth section of the Declaration of Independence? An official declaration of freedom. We tell England we are no longer part of their country, we are independent!
What is in Article 1 of the constitution? A description of the the legislative branches jobs and requirements.
Article 2 of the constitution? A description of the executive branches jobs and requirements.
Article 3 of the constitution? A description of the judicial branches jobs and requirements.
Article 4 of the constitution? The states' rights and responsibilities
Article 5 of the constitution? How to make amendments to the constitution.
Article 6 of the Constitution? Any debts owed the government are still debts. Any treaties made as a country apply to all states.
Article 7 of the constitution? All names agree and sign the document.
First Amendment in the Bill of Rights Freedom of religion, speech, press, to petition the government, and assemble.
Second Amendments in the Bill of Rights Right to own a gun
Third Amendments in the Bill of Rights Government cannot force to you house soldiers in your home
Fourth Amendments in the Bill of Rights Protects citizens from unfair searches
Fifth Amendments in the Bill of Rights Gives people the right to not testify against themselves (I plead the 5th!)
Sixth Amendments in the Bill of Rights Gives right to a speedy trial with a jury of your peers
Seventh Amendments in the Bill of Rights Says that civil cases are also tried by a jury
Eighth Amendments in the Bill of Rights Says no huge bail or fines, and no cruel and unusual punishments.
Ninth Amendment in the Bill of Rights Says that these are not all the rights, people still have rights not listed
Tenth Amendment in the Bill of Rights Any power not listed in the Constitution is a power of the states, or the individual person
What was in the first section of the Declaration of Independence? The Preamble. And introduction to the letter stating that we wanted to be independent.
Why was the Declaration of Independence important? Showed that we meant business so France would take us seriously and help us fight England.
Why was the Constitution important? It gave us directions on how our government should be set up and run.
