Negative Number any number less than zero
Positive Number any number more than zero
Opposite Numbers two numbers that are the same distance from zero on the number line (a positive and a negative number)
Absolute Value the distance of any number from zero
Coordinate Plane plane used to plot points of coordinates
X-Axis the horizontal (left to right) line of a coordinate plane
Y-Axis the vertical (up and down) line of a coordinate plane
Quadrants the four sections of a coordinate plane
Origin where the x-axis and the y-axis cross each other at zero
Ordered Pair pair of numbers given to plot a point on the coordinate plane
X coordinate the first number in an ordered pair
Y coordinate the second number in an ordered pair
