Transitions Math Vocabulary Chapter 1

| Place Value | The number that each digit in a decimal system stands for. |
| Count | A whole number tally of particular things. |
| Counting Unit | The name of the particular things being tallied in a count. |
| Measure | A real number indicating an amount of some quantity. |
| Unit of Measure | A standardized amount with which measures can be compared |
