The mole

| Avogadro's number | The number of particle in a mole has been experimentally determined in a number of ways. |
| molar mass | An alternative definition of mole is the amount of a substance that contains Avogadro's number of particles. |
| Mole | The mole is the SI unit for amount of substance. |
| molecule | A molecule is a neutral group of atoms that are held together by covalent bonds. |
| Scientific notation | Numbers are written in form M x 10, where the factor M is a number greater than or equal to 1 but less than 10, and n is a whole number |
| fomula unit | Is the simplest collection of atoms from which an ionic compound's formula can be written |
| molecular mass | The oil deposit in the ground and detecting dioxins in our food supply are commonly performed today. |

| molecular formula | This formulas gives the types and numbers of atoms in a compounds. |
| density | Is the ratio of mass to volume, or mass divided by volume |
| Formula Mass | Any molecule, formula unit, or iron is the sun of the average atomic masses of all atoms represented in its formula. |
| Percent composition | The percentage by mass of each elements in a compound is know as the percentage composition |
| Empirical formula | Consist of the symbols for the elements combined in a compound, with subscripts showing the smallest for the elements mole ratio of the different atoms in the compound, |
