Dental Dam punch Used to punch holes in dental dam material. Holes vary depending on what tooth we are working on
Dental Dam Forceps Used to place the dental dam clamp around the anchor tooth , opens clamp
Frame Used to support dental dam material, keep operating area open Metal is called a young frame Plastic is called U frame Autoclavable
Clamp Can be wing, wingless, anterior clamp, fits around the tooth to stabilize and secure dam material in place
Dental Dam Napkin Controls moisture between the patients face and dam itself
Clamp parts Bow-arch, faces back of mouth Forcep holes-where forceps go to open clamp Jaws-outside of clamp, secure clamp to toot Jaw points-part of the jaw that comes in contact with the tooth
Lubricant Placed on the underside of the dental dam
Scissors Used to cut inbetween the teeth or dam material
Stabilizing cords/wedjets Used to stabilize dam material like a wedge does in the matrix system
