| Stanza | Series of lines in a poem arranged often by meter or rhyme. |
| Respond | Answer. |
| Describe | Tell how something looks or happened. |
| Explain | Give facts and details that make the idea or concepd clear and understandable. |
| Sentence | A linewith a subject and predicate; begins with a capital letter, ends with punctuation. |
| Narrator | The person who is telling the story. |
| Expect | Everything but/excluding. |
| Main Idea | What the whole story is about/the big picture. |
