Technical Vocabulary-Amado

TermDefinition
Connectors It's an electromechanical device used to join electrical conductors and create an electrical circuit.
Control panel It's the part of a machine or piece of equipment that houses the controls.
Digital hook ammeter These are instruments that measure current flow in amperes and display current levels on a digital display.
Digital multimeter A a test tool used to measure two or more electrical values—principally voltage (volts), current (amps), and resistance (ohms).
Disconnect To unfasten something, especially to break the connection between a supply of electricity, gas, water, etc. and a device or piece of equipment.
Emery wheel It's a wheel made of consolidated emery powder or having a surface of emery and used especially for abrading, grinding, or polishing.
Environmental protection Environmental protection refers to any activity to maintain or restore the quality of environmental media through preventing the emission of pollutants or reducing the presence of polluting substances in environmental media.
Fault diagnosis Mechanical fault diagnosis refers to the recognition and diagnosis of fault mechanism, fault causes, and the fault positions.
Fixed shear A machine usually used for cutting rough shapes out of medium-sized pieces of sheet metal.
Fuse It is a low-resistance resistor device that protects a circuit from becoming overloaded.
