| Esoteric | intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest. |
| Fastidious | very attentive and concerned about accuracy and detail |
| Garrulous | excessively talkative, especially on trivial matters. |
| Imperious | assuming power or authority without justification; arrogant and domineering. |
| Laudatory | (of speech or writing) expressing praise and commendation |
| Mollify | appease the anger or anxiety |
| ad Hominem | argumentative strategies that are directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining. |
| ad Populum | a fallacious argument which is based on claiming a truth or affirming something is good because the majority thinks so. |
| begging the question | an argumentative fallacy that occurs when an argument's premises assume the truth of the conclusion |
| circular reasoning | a logical/argumentative fallacy in which the reasoner begins with what they are trying to end with. |
| Deduction | the inference of particular instances by reference to a general law or principle. |
| Induction | A process of reasoning (arguing) which infers a general conclusion based. on small, individual cases. |
| Hasty generalization | The act of generalizing based on not enough evidence. |
| Straw man | A form of argument and an informal fallacy of having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with a false one. |
| Faulty analogy | This fallacy consists in assuming that because two things are alike in one or more respects, they are necessarily alike in some other respect. |
