| Stomata | openings in the leaf that allow exchange of gases |
| Transpiration | water loss in a plant through stomata |
| Stem(Shoot) | contains vascular tissue to TRANSPORT water and nutrients throughout plant |
| Xylem | a type of vascular tissue that moves water upward from roots to leaves Xy HIGH |
| Phloem | a type of vascular tissue that moves nutrients and sugar downward from leaves to roots Phlo LOW |
| Flower | reproductive structure of an angiosperm |
| Pistil | female reproductive part of flower |
| Stigma | sticky top for pollen grains to land on |
| Style | tube for pollen to extend from stigma to ovary |
| Ovary | contains ovules and will develop into fruit |
| Ovules | female gamete of plant; same as eggs in humans |
| Stamen | male reproductive part of plant |
| Gamete | sex cell |
| Anther | produces the pollen in the plant |
| Filament | supports the anther |
| Pollen | male gamete of plant; same as sperm in humans |
| Tropism | response of a plant to an environmental stimulus |
| Phototropism | response to light |
| Geotropism/Gravitropism | response to gravity |
| Thigmotropism | response to touch |
