TermDefinition
Rational Numbers A set of numbers that can be written as fractions.
Integers The set of numbers that include only whole positive and negative amounts and 0.
Positive Numbers All numbers greater than zero. (including fractions)
Negative Numbers All numbers less than zero. (including fractions)
Opposite Numbers A pair of numbers that have oppsite signs. (same Number)
Additive Inverse The opposite of number so that the two values add up to zero.
Vector A symbol that shows length and direction.
Absolute Value The distnace from the zero.
Rule of subtraction Subtraction is the same as adding the opposite.
Proportional A proportion is an equation in which two ratios are set equal to each other.
Constant of Proportionality the constant ratio between two proportional quantities y/x denoted by the symbol k. y=Kx
