Naming Covalent Compounds that contain only NM
Naming from Formulas:Process | Answer |

Step 1 | name the first NM |
Step 2 | Name the second NM by taking the root (first part) and adding -ide |
Step 3 | Insert prefixes into the name to reflect subscripts in the formula |

Step 4 | Never start a name with the mono- !!!!!!! |
Step 5 | Eliminate the vowel on the end of the prefix to make the pronounciation easier. |
