| Parasitism | One organism is harmed, and the other benefits. |
| Mutualism | Both organisms benefit. |
| Commensalism | One organism benefits and the other is neutral. |
| Capacity | Is the largest number of individuals of one species than ecosystem can support over time. |
| Habitat | Is the place within an ecosystem that provides the biotic and abiotic factors an organism needs to survive and reproduce. |
| Predatation | s the act of one organism, the predator, feeding on another organism, it’s prey. |
| Population | Is all the organisms of the same species that lives in the same area at the same time. |
| Community | a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common |
| Niche | Is the way a species interacts with abiotic and biotic factors to obtain food, find shelter, and fulfill others needs. |
| Symbiosis | Is a close, longterm relationship between two species that usually involves an exchange of food or energy. |
| Producers | Are organisms that use an outside energy source, such as the sun, and produce their own food |
| Consumers | Organisms that cannot make their own food |
| detritivores | Consume the bodies of dead organisms and wastes produced by living organisms. |
| Food Web | Is a model of energy transfer that can show how the food chains in a community are interconnected. |
| Energy Pyramid | Is a model that shows the amount of energy available in each link of a good chain. |
