TermDefinition
Simplified Fraction (reduced) A fraction whose numerator and denominator do not have a common factor.
Multiplicative inverse (reciprocal) A numbet nade by switiching the numerator and denominator. (Flip)
Complex fraction A fraction whose numerator and/or denominator are fractions.
Ratio A comparison of two values using long division.
Rate A ratio that has two different units.
Unit Rate A rate with the value of 1 in the denominator.
Original Price The starting price before a discount.
Sales price The price the customer pays after a discount.
Proportional A relationship that keeps the same rate.
Constant of Proportionality The constant unit rate in a proportional relationship.
