| Describe the federal government created by the Constitution? | the 3 branches of government! They created the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches. Legislative branch consists of the Senate of House Representatives, executive branch is the president, judicial branch is the Supreme Court. |
| Explain the concept of limited government? | There were many restrictions to protect the rights of individual citizens. The government is limited by laws and through the separation of powers. This keeps the government from abusing its power. |

| What does bicameral mean? | A type of legislature that has two branches or chambers, in which all members intentionally vote as a single group. Bicameral Congress comes from the Connecticut Compromise it was made to ensure that a government could be created. |
| Explain the bicameral structure of Congress. | Congress had a bicameral legislature and they composed of 2 separate houses. Congress consists of the Senate and House of Representatives. They also considered a unicameral, or 1 house legislature. |
| Why did the Founding Fathers agree to make Congress bicameral? | They had considered dividing powers between the Framers. |
| Describe the government under the Articles of Confederation. What were some of the weaknesses? | A weak central government that consisted of the Confederation Congress. No executive branch or judicial branch. States retained most of the power. The central government never had any money and could not enforce their laws. |
| Compare and contrast the Virginia Plan of government and the New Jersey Plan of government. | Virginia Plan called for government with 3 branches, legislative consisted a 2 house Congress with representation on population, executive branch/judicial branch. New Jersey Plan also created a 3 branch government but with a unicameral congress. |
