Abjure (verb) to retract solemnly; renounce or repudiate
Adamant (adjective) unshakeable or insistent especially in maintaining a position or opinion; unyielding
Omnipotent (adjective) having unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-powerful. Word Origin: omni - Latin prefix = “all” potent - Latin root = “being powerful; being able”
Perseverance (noun) continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition
Reparation (noun) the act or process of making amends for a wrong
Chicanery (noun) deception by trickery
Belligerent (adjective) aggressively hostile; eager to fight or argue
Ironically (adverb) contrary to plan or expectation
Hubris (noun) overbearing pride or presumption; arrogance
Enervate (verb) to weaken/destroy the strength, or vitality of someone or something
Sage (noun) wise person
Scrutinize (verb) to examine in detail with great care and critical attention
Acumen (noun) quickness and keenness of judgment or insight Word Origin: Acu- Latin prefix - stem for “acuere” = “to sharpen”
Benevolent (adjective) characterized by or expressing goodwill/kindly feelings; being charitable
Visage (noun) the face or facial expression of a person; appearance; countenance
Meek (adjective) quiet, gentle and easily imposed on; overly submissive or compliant
Emulate (verb) to imitate, with effort, to equal or surpass (a person or achievement) esp. out of admiration
Deride (verb) to laugh at in scorn or contempt; to mock
Didactic (adjective) inclined to teach or moralize excessively
Abhor (verb) to regard with extreme repugnance; to loathe
