| point | A location, no size, and represented by a dot/capital letter |
| line | series of point, extend opposite directions, and infinite |
| plane | flat surface, no thickness, and extends w/o end in direction of lines |
| segment | The part of a line that consists of 2 endpoints and all the points between them |
| collinear | points on the same line |
| noncollinear | points not on the same line |
| coplanar | points that lie on the same plane |
| noncoplanar | points that do not lie on the same plane |
| postulate | a statement that is assumed to be true |
| protractor | A tool used to measure and draw angles. |
| Segment Addition Postulate | AB+BC=AC |
| Angle Addition Postulate | for any angle, the measure of the whole is equal to the sum of the measures of its non-overlapping parts |
| protractor postulate | Given any angle, the measure can be put into one-to-one correspondence with real numbers between 0 and 180. |
| midpoint formula | (x₁+x₂)/2, (y₁+y₂)/2 |
| distance formula | d = √[( x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²] |
