| Extant | often used to describe the existence of laws. Still existing; not destroyed or lost |
| Vicissitude | often used to describe the ups and downs of life and fortune. an unfavorable event happening by chance; a change or variation |
| Edifice | used to describe a large and powerful entity, such as an authoritarian gov. or political party. A large structure of imposing appearance or size; an elaborate conceptual structure |
| Trenchant | used in reference to a criticism or call to rally against something. Sharply perceptive, forcefully effective; caustic, cutting |
| Puissant | refers to a person of authoritative power, especially someone arrogant about their power. Having strength or power; mighty |
| Lububrioius | negative, very depressing, feelings are excessive. Often about personality, facial expression or entertainment. Mournful, gloomy |
| Indoctrinate | similar to brainwashing. Used in political and education setting (teaching without critical thinking). To teach specific fundamentals and principles. |
| Obsequious | positive if a waiter or "maid". Criticism for someone being too eager to help. Exhibiting fawning attentiveness |
| Fulsome | abundantly and insincerely flattering (often incorrectly used to mean excessive without meaning insincere). |

| Collusion | a conspiratorial or secret understanding entered into for an illicit or fraudulent end |
