TermConnotation
Tortuous usually refers to a hard path or a terrible action. Winding; not straightforward; deceitful
Megalomania referring to someone with an exaggerated sense of self worth, negative. abnormal, psychopathic desire for wealth and power
Profligate negative, a wild and very wasteful person
Expatriate someone who leaves due to poverty or a person who lives in a foreign country. an exile, usually implies voluntary; to send into exile
Satirize done about bad behavior or actions. To poke fun at or point out the absurdity in
Fiat a criticism of how someone governs. An official order; a decree; government authorization
Mendacious negative, used as an insult, used politically. lying, false; suggests a chronic inclination toward untruth
Parsimonious used when talking about experiments or studies, scientific. Miserly, tingy
Pecuniary used when talking about money in a more official way, or when talking about investments
Bemused often found in facial expressions, confused, neutral. The quality of being bewildered, perplexed, or lost in reflection
Maraud referring to wildlife or historical pillaging groups. to wander in search of booty; to loot or invade for treasure
Aspersion a political attack or in reference to a scandal. false accusation; slander (often "to cast an aspersion" -- making an unfair or untrue statement )
Redolent fragrant, aromatic; reminiscent
Stultify to render foolish or unable to act intelligently; to cause a decrease in mental power
Convivial amiable; given to feasting, drinking, and socializing; to be sociable and festive
