Ephemeral (adjective) lasting for a very short time; transient, fleeting
Nefarious (adjective) villainous, vicious, flagrantly wicked or impious
Nonsectarian (adjective) not limited to or associated with a particular religious denomination
Doleful (adjective) full of grief, melancholy
Sanguine (adjective) optimistic; reddish, healthy color
Inert (adjective) without power to move; sluggishness of mind or spirit
Salient (adjective) strikingly obvious; so noticeable it seems to leap out and claim attention
Poignant (adjective) distressing to the mind; moving and painful to the feelings; emotionally intense
Paradigm (noun) on that serves as a pattern or model; a set of assumptions, concepts, values, practices
Garner (verb) to amass, gather, or accumulate; acquire over a period of time
