Adjectives

Some common adjectives describing people

TermDefinition
energetic An energetic person is very active and does not feel at all tired.
empathetic Someone who is empathetic has the ability to share another person's feelings or emotions as if they were their own.
sympathetic If you are sympathetic to someone who is in a bad situation, you are kind to them and show that you understand their feelings.
patient If you are patient, you stay calm and do not get annoyed, for example when something takes a long time, or when someone is not doing what you want them to do.
humble A humble person is not proud and does not believe that they are better than other people.
bold Someone who is bold is not afraid to do things which involve risk or danger.
talkative Someone who is talkative talks a lot.
adventurous Someone who is adventurous is willing to take risks and to try new methods.
economical Someone who is economical spends money sensibly and does not want to waste it on things that are unnecessary.
generous A generous person gives more of something, especially money, than is usual or expected.
