amnesty n: literally, a forgetting, as in the granting of a general pardon for some offense
commemorate v: to honor the memory of something or someone, as in a ceremony or celebration
memento n: anything that serves as a reminder; an object that makes one remember; a souvenir
memento mori n: any reminder of death, as a skull and crossbones on a bottle of poison
memoirs n: autobiographical writings detailing events from one's past; personal accounts of remembered occurrences
memorabilia n: a collection of things worth remembering, as from a specific time in the past
memorandum n: a short note intended to jog the memory - often shortened to "memo"
mnemonics n: any system or technique intended to improve or assist the memory; mnemonic, a: intended to improve the memory
moribund a: near death, or deathlike; coming to an end; without the vitality of life
postmortem n: a careful examination of something that has died; a, occurring after death
