autobiography n: the story of a person's life written by the subject
biodegradable a: capable of decaying naturally, as by process exacted by other living organisms, and being reabsorbed into the environment
biofeedback n: a technique, using electronic devices, wherein an unconscious or involuntary bodily (life) process - such as heartbeat - is brought under the control of the conscious mind
biogenesis n: the development of life from previously existing and similar life forms, rather than from nonliving matter
biomass n: the total amount of living in a specific area, volume, or habitat
bionics n: the technology of designing and making instruments modeled after the structure of living organisms
biopsy n: the removal of a small amount of living tissue from the body for examination, as in a medical diagnosis of a disease; v, to perform such a procedure
biosphere n: that part of the earth, from the crust out into the atmosphere, where life exists
cyclical a: happening or moving in cycles; recurring at regular intervals
symbiotic a: living together, as two types of organisms, to the benefit of both; mutually beneficial
