framing bias | the tendency of decision makers to be influenced by the way a situation or problem is presented to them |

gambler's fallacy | the belief that the odds of a chance event increase if the event hasn't occurred recently |
halo effect | tendency of an interviewer to allow positive characteristics of a client to influence the assessments of the client's behavior and statements |
illusory superiority | the tendency to view oneself as superior to others |
syllogism (deductive reasoning) | a form of deductive reasoning consisting of a major premise, a minor premise, and a conclusion |
