Who is responsible for cleaning up broken glass? Mr. Rubarts or the teacher in the room
If your clothes are on fire what is the first thing you should do? Stop, Drop and Roll
If there is an earthquake and you are in Mr. Rubarts' room, what should you do? Go under a desk or lab bench and protect your neck and head.
Is food allowed in the lab? No!
What direction should you always cut? Away from yourself
If you lean back in your stool what are the 2 things Mr. Rubarts will do? 1. Give the whole class a warning. 2. Whole class will stand the rest of lab.
What should you do if you have a sharp object in your eye? Leave it in and keep eye closed as best as possible.
What are the 3 steps to using the safety shower? 1. Step underneath shower 2. Pull lever 3. Push lever back into place once chemicals are rinsed off or fire is extinguished.
What are the 3 steps to using the eye wash station? 1. Push lever towards wall 2. Lower head into water 3. Hold eyes open
When should you wash your hands on a lab day? After lab always or when Mr. Rubarts tells you
If someone is having a seizure in class, what should you do? Catch them before they fall. Roll them on their side and DO NOT put anything in their mouth.
How should you carry glassware? With both hands
What is appropriate clothing for lab? Close toed shoes, hair pulled back, goggles, lab apron, no baggy sleeved clothes.
