Numbers & Operations

TermDefinition
Natural Numbers the set of positive numbers that begin at one and increase by increments of one (1,2,3,…)
Whole Numbers the set of natural numbers and zero (0,1,2,…)
Integers the set of natural numbers, their opposites, and zero (-1,0,1,…)
Rational Numbers the set of numbers that can be expressed as a fraction a/b, where a and b are integers and b ≠0
