3. What is phagocytosis? Phagocytosis is a process that surrounds, engulfs, and digests harmful bacteria.
4. What are the major signs of inflammation? redness, local heat, swelling, and pain.
5. What is thrombosis? is the formation of a blood clot in a blood vessel.
6. What is septicemia? presence of pathogenic organisms or toxins in the blood

10. What do basophils do? they are involved in inflammation and allergic reactions

13. Where are monocytes formed? bone marrow and spleen
14. What does hemoglobin do? carry oxygen from the lungs to the body and carbon dioxide from the body to the lungs

17. what are risk factors for thrombosis? stasis (your blood not moving), hypercoagulable (you blood liking to form blood clots), and injury to the inner layers of the blood vessels
