Concise expressing much in just a few words.
Nuance a subtle difference or distinction in expression or meaning.
Function an activity or purpose natural to or intended for a person or thing.
Negation the contridiction or denial of something.
Coherence the quality of being logical and consistent.
Archetype the original pattern or model from which all things of the same kind are copied.
Pacing a rate of progress, activity, movement, or growth.
Mood the feeling a reader is supposed to get from a piece of literature.
Point of View the perspective or vantage point from which a story is told
Epic a lengthy narrative poem that retells a heroic journey.
Mnemonic Devices a memory technique intended toassist the ability to recall and remember information.
Tone the attitude an author has toward a subject they are writing about.
Diction using specific and deliberate words or phrases in writing; word choice.
Denotation the exact, direct meaning of a word or expression.
Connotation an associated or secondary idea or feeling from a word, in addition to its literal meaning.
Allegory a story, picture, or piece of art that can be interpreted to have a secondary, hidden meaning or message.
