what does stance mean ? The attitude that the writer has towards the topic
what does tone mean? The way the text can make the reader feel
what does paraphasing mean? when you rewrite a text in your writing without quoting the source
what does writer purpose mean? he reason the author writes the text.
signal phrase short phrases that introduce a quote, paraphrase, or summary
transition words Transition words are used to link together different ideas in your text
