| physical property | Physical property is a characteries that can be observed or measured without changing the identify of the substance |
| chemical property | Chemical property is a substance abality to undergo changes that transform in to diffrent substance |
| Extensive property | Extensive properties depend on the amount of matter that is present |
| Intensive property | Intensive property do not depend on the amount of matter present. |
| ductility | The ability of a substance to be hammered thin or draw out into wire. |
| Malleabity | The ability of substance to be hammered or being or beaten in a sheet |
| Volume | A measurement of the size of a body or region in three dimensional space |
| Compressibity | The measure of how much a given volume of matter decreases when placed under pressure. |
| Density | The ratio of mass substance often expressed as grams per cubic centimeter for solids and liquides and as grams |
| evaporation | The ratio mass of a substance the volume of the substance to the volume of substance . |
| sublimation | the process on which a solid changes directly into gas term is sometimes also used for the revsved process |
| vaporization | The process by which a liquid or solid changes to gas is called vaporization |
| element | A substance that cannot be seprated or broken down into simpler substance by chemical means all atoms of an ealement having the same atomic number |
| compound | A compound is the substance that can be broken down into simple stable substance. |
| heterogeneous mixture | Mixtures that are not uniform through are said to be heterogenous mixture |
| homogeneous mixture | The mixture that are uniform through said to be homogeneous miture |
| atom | Atoms are the Blocks of matter. Atom is the smallest unit of an element that maintains the chemical identify of that element. |
| Chemical change | A change in which one or more substance are converted into different substance ( chemical RXN ) |
| Physical change | A change in a substance that does not involve a change in the identify of substance . A state of matter solid - liquid - gas |
