| solubility product | This is like the dissociation constant, except that you do not divide by the concentrations of the reactants because the reactants are not in solution. |
| diprotic acid | an acid molecule that releases 2 H+ ions |
| monoprotic acid | an acid molecule that releases 1 H+ ion |
| standard solution | a solution of known concentration |
| titrate (titration) | a method of measuring the concentration of an acid solution by gradually adding a base until all of the acid is neutralized |
| equivalence point | this is reached when all of the reactants in the standard solution have reacted with the reactants in the added solution |
