5 or above round up, less than 5 round down
There are infinitely many decimal places in π
π is 3.141592654 to nine decimal places
For simplicity, we often write π as 3.14 i.e two decimal places
Engineers use 3.1416 as an approximation for π to 4 decimal places
Recurring Decimal A decimal such as 0.484848... which contains infinitely many digits form a pattern, is called a recurring or repeating decimal
Percentages A percentage i s a special type of fraction. 'Per cent' means 'out of which 100' or 'per 100'
