| Pancake | Neutral defense that combines a cross face and a sprawl to prevent a leg attack. |
| Head throw | Throw: Includes a collar tie, getting your opponent to push/lean back into you as you extend your arm around their head and hips under them. |
| Return to mat #2 | Off of a stand up, step around your opponent's hips to a slight squat, lift up your hips to lift your opponent's legs, rotate towards putting their shoulder on the mat. |
| Ankle Whizzer | Defensive strategy to leg attacks, arm is placed between your opponent's body and over their arm to create leverage at the ankle. |
| Merkle Position | Sneaky takedown Position in a 4 point position where a wrestler sticks their leg in between the other wrestlers legs and locks their hands around the neck. |
| Ankle Pick | Using an underhook or a collar tie and reaching with your open hand to pick the opponent's ankle as you force them over that ankle. |
| Knee Pick | Using an underhook or a collar tie and reaching with your open hand to block the opponent's knee as you force them over that knee. |
| 2 Step Shuffle | Off of a Russian tie-up the wrestler quickly takes a two step shuffle to get behind their opponent. |
| Russian Tie | Outside tie gained by reaching up with the far wrist to pull a collar tie under your chest, shrugging you near shoulder, and pressuring the opponent's arm under the shoulder |
