climax the highest or most intense point in the development of a story

antagonist the character or force who blocks the protagonist

author's purpose reason or intent for writing
plot the sequence of events in a story
conflict a struggle between two opposing forces
resolution the end of the story. It occurs after the climax when the conflict is resolved.
