Linear and Non-linear graphs

Parallel Lines Lines with the same gradient
Perpendicular Lines Lines that meet at right angles
Negative gradient Line is sloping downwards
Positive gradient Line sloping upwards ( from left to right)
y-intercept The point where a line cuts the y-axis. Found easily when substituting 0 for x and calculating the y-value.
