1. What are typical forms of physical therapy? cold, heat, water, massage, traction, and exercise
2. What is the role of a MA working with physical therapy? coordinating sessions with different specialist. answering the patient's questions, communicating the Dr's findings with the specialist, making referrals as directed by the doctor
3. What is horticultural therapy used for? working with plants and flowers to help improve balance, strength, memory, and socialization
4. What is aquatic therapy used for? for people that can't move their legs due to pain
5. What is a goniometer? measures the exact angle of a joint and is used to determine the range of motion
6. what is range of motion? how far the joint can move in a given direction
7 When a patient gets injured what is one of the first test that the doctor does? mobility and strength testing
8 What is muscle strength testing? how well the patient can resist the doctors pressure on their arm, leg or other body part
9. What is gait/ how is it tested? walk to the end of the hall turn around and come back
10 how is posture tested? look at the patient's curves from all side

27 What is dry heat? anything that involves something warm coming in contact with the skin but it is dry: hot water bottle
28 What is moist heat? anything that involves warm liquid coming in contact with the skin, example: hot compress
29 What does thermotherapy do? reduces muscle spams
30 What to do if the patient getting an ice pack complains of a burning sensation? take off the ice pack and notify the doctor
