| Indecisive | Not good at making decisions |
| Apprehensive | Feeling worried about something that you are going to do or that is going to happen |
| Egotistical | Egotism - thinking only about yourself |
| Gullible | Willing to believe everything that people say |
| Self-conscious | Nervous or uncomfortable because you're worried about what people think of you |
| Congratulatory | Expressing praise because somebody has done something special |
| Depreciating | Showing that you think something is of little value or importance |
| Reliant | Needing a particular thing or person in order to continue or achieve something |
| Considerate | Kind & helpful |
| Well-rounded | Having a variety of experiences & abilities & fully developed personality |
| Bubbly | Attractive, full of energy & enthusiasm |
| Trait | A particular characteristic that can produce a particular type of behaviour |
| Refine | To improve an idea, method, system etc by making small changes |
| Motor skills | Motor skills are something most of us do without even thinking about them activities that us the large muscles of the arms, legs, and torso (eg. walking, standing, ...) We develop these mostly during childhood through pay & physical activity |
| Vocation | Type of work or way of life that you believe is especially suitable for you |
| Vocational education | Providing skills & education that prepare you for a job |
| Endeavour | An attempt to do something |
| Concerted | Planned or done together for shared purpose |
| Strenuous | Needing or using a lot of physical of mental effort or energy |
| Exertion | The use of a lot of mental or physical effort |
| Invasive | Spreading very quickly & difficult to stop |
| Advent | The advent of something/somebody the coming of an important event, person, invention, etc. |
| To overhaul | Overhaul something: to examine every part of machine, system, etc? and make any necessary changes or repairs |
| Tech-savvy | Having a good knowledge & understanding of modern technology, especially computers |
| To harness | Harness something: to control & use the force or strength of something to produce power or to achieve something |
| Cutting-edge | At the newest, most advanced stage in the development of something |
| Mired | Mired in something: in a difficult or unpleasant situation that you can't escape from |
| Scam | A clever & dishonest plan for making money |
| To divulge | To give somebody information that is supposed to be secret |
| Genome | The complete set of genes in a cell of living thing |
| Crude | Simple and not very accurate but giving a general idea of something |
| To mar | To damage something or make something less good or successful |
| Bias | A strong feeling in favour of or against 1 group of people, or one side in an argument, often not based in fair judgement |
| Akin | Akin to something -> similar to something |
| Nuclear fission | The act or process of splitting the nucleus (= central part) of an atom, when a large amount of energy is released |
| Quandary | The state of not being able to decide what to do in a difficult situation |
| A spanner | A metal tool with an end with a special shape for holding and turning nuts and bolts |
| Throw a spanner in the works | (to cause) A delay or problem with something that somebody is planning or doing |
| To corner the market | To get control of the trade in a particular type of goods |
| To be in the red | To owe money to you bank because you've spent more than you have in your account |
| The allure | The quality of being attractive & exciting |
| Equity | The value of a property after all charges and debts have been paid |
| The fine print | The important details of an agreement or a legal document that are usually printed in small type and are therefore easy to miss |
| Unwittingly | Without being aware of what you're doing or the situation that you are involved in |
| To retaliate | To do something harmful to somebody because they have harmed you first |
| To deter | To make somebody decide not to do something or continue doing something, especially by making them understand the difficulties & unpleasant results of their actions |
| To offset the costs | To use one cost, payment or situation in order to cancel or reduce the effect of another |
| To incur | If you incur costs, you have to pay them |
| To eschew | To deliberatly avoid or keep away from something |
| Antagonistic | Antagonistic (to/toward(s) somebdy/something) showing or feeling opposition |
