The passive voice w "se"

| What is the passive voice? | It's used in general expressions. In English you say, "people" or "they" or "you" when you want to express the passive voice. In Spanish you use "se... + verbo" |
| Examples of passive voice expressions | Se habla espan~ol. Se vende. Se escribe en espan~ol. ?Co'mo se dice? |
| How to form the passive voice | Use the present form of the verb w "se" in front. The verb is either plural or singular depending on the subject (like gustar with gusta or gustan) |
| Cars are sold | Se venden carros |
| Smoking is prohibited | Se prohibe fumar |
| Spanish is spoken in class | Se habla espan~ol en clase. |
| How is "dog" written in Spanish? | ?Co'mo se escribe "dog" en espan~ol? |
| It is written "perro" | Se escribe "perro" |
| How is "thank you" said in Spanish? | ?Co'mo se dice "thank you" en espan~ol? |
| "Gracias" is said. | Se dice "gracias" |
| French is spoken in France. | Se habla el france's en Francia |
| Pizza is eaten in Italy | Se coma la pizza en Italia |
