What common atmosphereric gas is breathed in by humans and animals? Oxygen (21%)
What atmospheric gas is known as "laughing gas" and used by dentists? nitrous oxide
What is the lightest element in our atmosphere? hydrogen
What is the measure of force which air molecules push on a surface? air pressure
Air pressure is higher where? at the surface
As elevation increases what happens to air pressure it decreases
As water vapor increases what happens to air pressure? it decreases
As temperature incrsases what happens to air pressure? it increases
What is the instrument used to measure air pressure? a barometer
What layer of the atmosphere do you live on? The troposphere
Where is most of the ozone located? the stratosphere
Which layer of the atmosphere protects the earth from meteors? mesosphere
What is the coldest region of the atmosphere? the mesosphere
Wat is the hottest layer of the atmosphere? Thermosphere
What layer causes the aurora borialis (northern lights) the magnetosphere
What is the lower part of the thermosphere? Ionosphere
What is the upper part of the thermosphere? The exosphere
