Taft-Hartley Act (1947) extended and modified the 1935 Wagner Act. It prohibits certain union practices and requires disclosure of certain financial and political activities by unions. The bill was initially vetoed by President Truman, but Congress overrode the veto.
Equal Rights Amendment The Equal Rights Amendment is a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution designed to guarantee equal legal rights regardless of sex. The amendment was passed by Senate in 1972, but failed to gain the support of conservatives in the House
Camp David Accords Signed by President Jimmy Carter, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in September 1978, established a framework for a historic peace treaty concluded between Israel and Egypt in March 1979
