| surplus | an amount or quantity that is greater than what is needed |
| famine | extreme scarcity of food in a country or a large geographical area that often leads to hunger and starvation |
| natural disaster | a natural event such as a flood, earthquake, or hurricane that causes great damage or loss of life |
| resources | the collective wealth of a country or its means of producing wealth (example: farming, mining, trade...); A source of natural supply especially one that can be readily drawn upon to produce goods or trade |
| unite | to join, combine, or incorporate in order to form one large group |
| migrate | to go from one country, region, or place to another |
| decline | to grow smaller, diminish, or fail over time |
