Term | Definition |

Compound probability | the probability of two or more independent events both happening |
Dependent event | an event that relies on another event to happen first |
Event | A set of possible outcomes resulting from a particular experiment |
Independent event | means that the outcome of one event has no effect on the outcome of another event. |
Favorable outcomes | an outcome that denotes how many times we expect the thing to happen |
Possible outcomes | a list of all the resulting possibilities from an event |
Simple probability | the calculation of an outcome or the chance of an event ever happening |
With replacement | the outcomes are returned back to the sample space again. Which means that once the item is selected, then it is replaced , it is possible to be drawn again. |
Without replacement | once we draw an item, then we do not replace it back to the sample space before drawing a second item |
