denominator the number below the line in a common fraction; a divisor. a figure representing the total population in terms of which statistical values are expressed.
numerator the number above the line in a common fraction showing how many of the parts indicated by the denominator are taken, for example, 2 in 2/3.
fraction a number expressed as a quotient, in which a numerator is divided by a denominator.
dividend a number to be divided by another number.
divisor a number by which another number is to be divided.
factor a number or algebraic expression that divides another number or expression evenly

substitute integration by substitution, also known as u-substitution or change of variables, is a method for evaluating integrals and antiderivatives.
rate a rate is the ratio between two related quantities in different units.
