Solving Equations

| What is the MIDPOINT? | Midpoint divides a segment into two equal parts. |
| What is the MIDPOINT FORMULA? | [(X1 +X2)/2, (y1 + y2)/2] |
| CONSECUTIVE INTEGERS | Integers that differ by one. |
| Example of CONSECUTIVE INTEGERS | X, X+1, X+2, X+3....... |
| DISTANCE FORMULA | Note: Distance is never negative.Square root (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2 |
| Equivalent Equations | Equation with the same solutions. Example: 4x3 and 6+6 |
| Identity | An equations that is true for every value.Example: 4+0=4 |
