Chemistry A science that deals with a structure and properties.
Noble Gas Group 18 in the periodic table with a full outer shell.
Atomic Number Number of protons in the nucleus in a atom.
Nuclear Fusion Reaction which nuclei of one atom combines with the nuclei of another to form a larger nuclei.
Isotope Atoms with same number of protons but not the same number os neutrons.
Significant Figure A number that express a magnitude to a specified degree of accuracy.
Density Mass per unit of volume.
Metalloid Element with the properties of both metals and nonmetals.
Mass Number Sum of the protons and the neutrons in the nucleus of an atom.
Electron Cloud System of electrons surrounding the nucleolus of an atom.
Atom Smallest particle of a substance that can exist by itself.
Precision The quality of being exact.
Accuracy The ability to work without mistakes.
Scientific Notation Method that expresses the number multiplied by 10 and the appropriate power.
Percent Error Experimental value minus the accepted value, divided by the accepted value and then multiplied by 100.
Quantitative Data Numerical measurement rather than its words.
Qualitative Data Data in words rather than in numbers.
Specific Heat The heat required to raise the temperature of the mass of a given substance by given amount.
Precipitate A solid that is produced by a chemical reaction in solution.
Ion Atom that has gained or lost one or more electrons.
