TermDefinition
Linear Equation that forms a straight line when you plot the points.
Variable A symbol that takes the place of a number.
Constant A term without a variable. Just the number.
Coefficient The number in front of the variable.
Equation It has two or more terms and it HAS an EQUAL SIGN.
Expression It has two or more terms WITHOUT an EQUAL SIGN.
Term Is seperated by a plus or minus sign
Like Terms Terms with the same variable and raised to the same power.
Simplify Grouping and combining LIKE terms and/or Distributing
Distributive Property The number outside the parenthesis is multiplied by each term inside the parenthesis.
