Bullying in Schools
| Term | Definition |

| prejudice | an unreasonable dislike for a person, group, custom, etc., especially when it is based on their race, religion, sex, etc. Example: There was often prejudice against people with disabilities. |
| minority | the smaller part of a group; less than half of the people or things in a large group |
| intolerance | the fact of not being willing to accept ideas or ways of behaving that are different from your own |
| teasing | to laugh at somebody and make jokes about them, either in a friendly way or in order to annoy them or make them embarrassed |
| hatred | a very strong feeling of dislike for somebody/something Example: He looked at me with intense hatred. |
| bystander | a person who sees something that is happening but is not involved |
| manipulation | behavior that controls or influences somebody/something, often in a dishonest way so that they do not realize it |
| relational aggression | refers to harm within relationships that is caused by bullying or manipulative behavior. Examples include: isolating someone by his or her group of friends, threatening to stop talking to a friend, or spreading gossip and rumors (online or otherwise) |
| humiliate | to make somebody feel ashamed or stupid and lose the respect of other people |
| bullying | unwanted, aggressive behavior. Bullying is 1)purposeful --someone is actively trying to hurt or humiliate another 2) repeated and 3) often features a power imbalance |
