Factors & Multiples
Term | Definition |

Common Factor | A number that is a factor of two or more numbers. |
Common Multiple | A number that is a multiple of two or more numbers. |
Composite Number | A number that has two or more factors. (4: 1, 2, 4) |
Divisible | A number is divisible by another number if the quotient is a counting number and the remainder is zero. |
Pattern | An ordered set of numbers or objects. |
Prime Number | A number that has exactly two factors, one and itself. (11: 1, 11) |
Term | Each number or object in a pattern. |
Factor | A number that is multiplied by another number to find a product. (Factors of 12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12) |
Multiple | The product of two numbers. (Skip Counting 5, 10 15, 20, 25.......) |
Factor Pairs | The set of numbers multiplied together to find a product. (Factor Pairs of 12: (1,12) (2,6) (3,4) ) |
First Term | The first number or object in a pattern. |
