Substitution method

Students will solve systems of linear equations using the substitution method.

QuestionAnswer
x = -2y x - y = 9 (6, -3)
x = 3y y - 3y = 0 (0, 0)
y = x - 5 -3x - y = -3 (2, -3)
y = 8x + 3 5x - 3y = -9 (0, 3)
y = -4x + 2 y = 6x - 8 (1, -2)
